Working Together

â€‹My therapeutic orientation is existential in nature. I focus on meeting your needs while finding meaning in your life to help you reach your goals. I promote self-awareness, growth, and a more fulfilling existence. "Wanting something to change" is why many come seeking services. I believe that change takes place after exploration of the uncertainty that accompanies it.

In therapy, the therapeutic relationship serves as a safe space for exploration and self-discovery. By providing you with a confidential setting to explore your thoughts and feelings, we lay the foundation to facilitate the change and relief from distress you are seeking in therapy.

My approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help you effectively address personal life challenges. With compassion and understanding, I work with you to help you build on your strengths and attain personal growth. I like to focus my work in the here-and-now as I recognize the importance of interpersonal relationships and providing positive support to my clients.

I have helped clients with a wide variety of issues. Some of the common reasons clients come seeking help are:

  • Difficult life circumstances (no pathology here, just life being hard and clients needing a safe place to discuss the situation).

  • Divorce, infidelity, and/or unhappiness in current relationship

  • Gender Issues (gender issues and referral letters for gender affirmation surgery and/or HRT)

  • Mood Disorders (i.e. Depression or Bipolar Disorder)

  • Anxiety Disorders & Stress Management

  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder

  • Anger Management â€‹

  • Job Satisfaction & Career Issues

  • Self-esteem
